An evergreen tree of the Cupressaceae family , the cypress stands out: close to high peaks, its name is just as legendary – it derives from Cyparissus, son of Telephus, changed to cypress by Apollo. It is native to warm temperate regions of the northern hemisphere.
The scent of cypress is woody, fresh and aromatic at the same time.
A slender conifer, the cypress is renowned for its size and resistance. It evokes winter weather. Fresh, it is known to tone in a natural way.

"Each candle is made according to ancestral know-how and in an artisanal way in our workshop in Normandy; their fragrance comes from a mixture of natural and synthetic raw materials. Since 2022, all of our candles and botanical palets are formulated with a 100% vegetable wax based on organic rapeseed.
To limit the environmental impact of the packaging, no plastic or superfluous packaging is used. Carrière Frères chooses to favor a natural approach with boxes made of 100% recycled and recyclable FSC paper, labels made of FSC paper (40% recycled) and printing using vegetable-based inks.
- Trim wicks to 1/4 inch with each use.
- Place the candle on a heat resistant surface
- Allow the wax to melt to the edge of the candle each time you use it to prevent tunneling.
- Keep candles away from drafts to ensure a clean , smokeless burn .
- Stop burning a candle when less than a quarter inch of wax remains.
