Wormwood is a perennial shrub native to temperate continental regions of Europe, Asia and North Africa. Baptized “the green fairy”, absinthe was reputed to confer creative powers: muse with a sulphurous reputation, it inspired many artists such as Zola, Verlaine, Van Gogh or Degas before being banned.
Career Brothers , in collaboration with THE Museum Natural History National of Paris , put in light a range of unusual , exotic or historical .
A plant with an intense vegetal scent, absinthe reveals a green and aromatic fragrance that a woody base note softens.

"Each candle is made according to ancestral know-how and in an artisanal way in our workshop in Normandy; their fragrance comes from a mixture of natural and synthetic raw materials. Since 2022, all of our candles and botanical palets are formulated with a 100% vegetable wax based on organic rapeseed.
To limit the environmental impact of the packaging, no plastic or superfluous packaging is used. Carrière Frères chooses to favor a natural approach with boxes made of 100% recycled and recyclable FSC paper, labels made of FSC paper (40% recycled) and printing using vegetable-based inks.
- Trim wicks to 1/4 inch with each use.
- Place the candle on a heat resistant surface
- Allow the wax to melt to the edge of the candle each time you use it to prevent tunneling.
- Keep candles away from drafts to ensure a clean , smokeless burn .
- Stop burning a candle when less than a quarter inch of wax remains.
